At Tally, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, and use your information when you use our app.

When you use Tally, we may collect:

  • Trip information – names, destinations, dates, and notes you add.

  • Participant details – such as names and email addresses you choose to enter.

  • Technical data – anonymized crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics collected via third-party services (like Sentry) to help us improve the app.

You are in full control of the information you provide.

2. How We Use Your Data

We only use your data to:

  • Help you plan and manage your group trips

  • Maintain and improve the Tally app during its beta testing phase

  • Monitor app performance and fix bugs through technical logging

We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using trusted cloud services such as Supabase.

We take precautions to protect your data, but as Tally is currently in beta testing:

  • The app may experience bugs, downtime, or unexpected errors.

  • We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or protection against all risks of data loss.

  • By using the app, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

4. Your Rights

You can request that your data be deleted at any time by emailing hey@thetallyapp.com.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app develops. Any major updates will be communicated to you in-app or via email.

By using Tally, you acknowledge that you are participating in beta testing and that you provide and manage your data at your own risk while we continue to improve the app.
